First Fridays are a monthly RVA tradition in which every first Friday of the month, all the local galleries, bars, eateries and sorts in the downtown arts district open up their venues for a giant block party essentially. From dusk to midnight, the streets are flooded with artists, musicians, street performers, patrons, rappers, punk-rockers and members of the community that help to make this funky little city so great.
