Lately I've been thinking a lot about community & breaking bread. The past few weeks have been really exhausting for me with all that has been going on. The violence, the division, the sense of apathy. I've found comfort in the bottom of coffee cups, conversation with friends, communion with loved ones, & the embrace of local churches. It's time for me to give back. Today I am hoping to improve the day of twelve lucky Henrico County police officers. Is a box of donuts solve our problems? Maybe not, but a small act of kindness can. Create change. Buy a homeless person lunch & listen to their story. Read to an underprivileged child. Visit a senior citizen. Be a friend. Because together we can make a difference.
