For the longest time, I've been scratching my head and staring at a blank screen, struggling to find the words to write this post: my one-hundredth blog post. Eighteen months ago, I started this blog as an outlet, an escape, a catharsis. But after several blog titles, URLs, drafts, edits, photos, past experiences, days of introspection, moments of revival and four-thousand views later: here it is.
Post number one-zero-zero.
I've been thinking a lot about gratitude & all the things I'm thankful for. The down-home town I came from. The beautiful city I currently live in. My growing relationship with Christ. My cozy apartment. My friends and family here and back home. The music I've listened to. The photos I've captured. The roadtrips. My schooling. My journaling. Days in the sun by the river. The view from my balcony. The laughter and stories I've shared.
All the things that have gotten me here today.
There have been days where the coffee tastes stale and the cars go by slowly but I've learned to spend less time shaking my fist + yelling at the sky and to spend more time appreciating the little things. The extra second at the green-light. Sunny days with low humidity. Crashing on my best-friend's couch after a three-hour drive back home. I'm grateful for where I've been & excited to see where I'm going. Thank you all for following thus far. To the post & the days to come: onward march, friends.
